श्री का अर्थ होता है लक्ष्मी।इस नाम से ही स्पष्ट है कि यह लक्ष्मी माता का यंत्र है।माना जाता है कि जिस घर में श्री यंत्र की
श्रद्घा भाव से नियमित पूजा होती है उस घर में निरंतर धन समृद्घि बढ़ती रहती है।इस संदर्भ में मान्यता यह है कि देवी लक्ष्मी ने स्वयं गुरू बृहस्पति से कहा है कि श्री यंत्र साक्षात् लक्ष्मी का स्वरूप है।श्री यंत्र की पूजा करें या लक्ष्मी की मतलब एक है।श्री यंत्र में लक्ष्मी की आत्मा और शक्ति समाहित हैं।
Shree yantra :-
Shree means Lakshmi. By this name it is clear that it is the yantra of Lakshmi Mata. It is believed that continuous wealth enrichment continues in the house where there is regular worship of the shrine. The recognition in this context is that Goddess Lakshmi has herself told Guru Jupiter that the Shrine is the nature of Lakshmi. The soul and power of Lakshmi are contained in the river.
