Haridwar Temple (हरिद्वार मंदिर)

 
हिंदू पौराणिक कथाओं में भगवान विष्णु को हरि और शिव के नाम से जाना जाता है। द्वार का अर्थ है द्वार, और यही कारण है कि यह स्थान हरिद्वार या हरिद्वार के रूप में जाना जाता है, क्योंकि उत्तरांचल के चार मंदिर / धाम का प्रवेश द्वार है। प्राचीन ग्रंथों और महाकाव्य में मायापुरी, गंगाधर, मोक्षद्वार के रूप में उल्लिखित हरिद्वार हमेशा भक्तों के लिए एक प्रमुख शक्तिपीठ बने रहे। पौराणिक कथा ने पवित्र नदी के तट पर भगवान के पैरों के निशान रखे हैं जिससे शहर को इसकी पवित्रता दी गई है और हर हिंदू के आध्यात्मिक लोकाचार पर एक अमिट छाप छोड़ी है। हरिद्वार एक बिंदु है जहां गंगा हरियाणा के हिस्सों में अपनी प्रगति शुरू करने के लिए हिमालय से निकलता है। पौराणिक कथा यह है कि पवित्र गंगा, सभी पवित्र नदियों की पवित्रतम, जो इस पवित्र शहर के माध्यम से बहती है वास्तव में पावर द्वारा हिंदू पौराणिक कथाओं के द्रव्यमान को पवित्र कर दिया गया है: - देवता-ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और सी महेश का केंद्र भक्तों के मुताबिक हरिद्वार चार जगहों में से एक है (अन्य तीन उज्जैन, नासिक और इलाहाबाद हैं), जिस पर मंथन महासागर से उभरने वाली अमरता का अर्नृत-निक्टर गिर गया। यह हरिद्वार में दो महान घटनाओं में प्रकट होता है - यादगार और विशाल धार्मिक मेले कुंभ जो हर 12 साल में एक बार होता है और अर्ध कुंभ मेला जो हर छह साल में एक बार आता है।
भगवान विष्णु के पैर के निशान पत्थर की एक स्लैब में मौजूद हैं और यह कहा जाता है कि भगवान विष्णु ने इस स्थान पर दर्शनों के साथ देवताओं को आशीर्वाद दिया। यह जगह मन, शरीर और आत्मा की शुद्धि के लिए रहस्यमय स्थल है।

दक्षिण पश्चिम में और रेलवे सड़क पर मुख्य बस स्टैंड है और इसके विपरीत रेलवे स्टेशन है उत्तर-पूर्व में लगभग 2.5 किमी की दूरी पर गंगा नहर के समानांतर चलने वाली इस सड़क पर हर की पौड़ी है।

रोड: राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग संख्या पर हरिद्वार 45 अच्छी तरह से दिल्ली (214 किमी) और उत्तर भारत के राज्य और शहरों के अन्य हिस्सों से जुड़ा हुआ है। देहरादून के बारे में 52 किमी लगभग दो घंटे की ड्राइव है और: दिल्ली लगभग 5 घंटे की ड्राइव दूर है। ऋषिकेश केवल 22 किमी है दिल्ली, ऋषिकेश और देहरादून के लिए बहुत ही नियमित अंतराल (30 मिनट) पर साधारण और सी एक्सप्रेस बस सेवाएं हैं। डीलक्स कोच और दिल्ली से, राजस्थान और चंडीगढ़ में जयपुर में काम करते हैं। शिमला, नैनीताल, अल्मोड़ा, रानीखेत, सहारनपुर (81 किमी) अंबाला (168 किमी) में बस सेवा है।

हर-के-पौड़ी, पवित्र घाट राजा विक्रमादित्या द्वारा उनके भाई भार्त्रिहरी की याद में बनाया गया था घाट पर गंगा आरती समारोह के दौरान गोधूलि नदी में फूलों की डायमेंस का गोल्डन प्रतिबिंब सबसे ज्यादा आकर्षक दृश्य है।
 
माया चंद्रदेवी हरिद्वार
 
नील पर्वत के ऊपर स्थित, चंद्रदेवी मंदिर उत्तरी भारत के सबसे प्राचीन मंदिरों में से एक है। यह एक sldhpeeth है कहा जाता है कि मुख्य देवता को 8 वीं शताब्दी में आदिशंकराचार्या ने स्थापित किया था। किंवदंतियों के अनुसार, प्राचीन समय में, राक्षस राजाओं शम् और निशंब ने भगवान इंद्र के राज्य पर कब्जा कर लिया था और स्वर्ग से देवताओं को फेंक दिया था। देवताओं द्वारा गहन प्रार्थना के बाद, शक्ति और शक्ति का अवतार, चंद्रदेवी देवी पार्वती के शरीर कोशिकाओं से प्रकट हुए और शंब और निशंबा के मारे गए। जब चंद्रदेवी ने मंदिर के स्थान पर थोड़ी देर के लिए विश्राम किया था, 200 मीटर की दूरी पर माता चंद्रदेवी मंदिर से, अनायजादेवी मंदिर, भगवान हा-नान की मां स्थित है।
मां चंद्रदेवी हजारों सालों से अपने भक्तों की इच्छा पूरी कर रहे हैं। 1 99 7 से हरिद्वार के नजीबाबाद रोड पर चलने वाली मां चंद्रदेवी सिधपीठ के मामा चंद्रदेवी उदोन खोतोला के आरामदायक 'दर्शन' के लिए और बस स्टैंड और रेलवे स्टेशन से केवल 4 किमी की दूरी पर है। ऊडन खटोला द्वारा यह पहाड़ी शीर्ष पर मंदिर तक पहुंचने के लिए 5 मिनट लगते हैं जबकि खड़ी चढ़ाई में एक घंटे से अधिक समय लगता है। शुद्ध ठंडे पेयजल, शौचालय, रिफ्रेशमेंट काउंटर, बागवानी उद्यान, प्राथमिक चिकित्सा सुविधाएं, विश्राम के क्षेत्र, कार पार्किंग, सीसीटीवी आदि जैसी सुविधाओं की सुविधा के लिए उपलब्ध हैं।
 
माए मंसदेवी हरद्वार
 
माता मनसा देवी हरिद्वार मंदिर उत्तर भारत के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण मंदिरों में से एक है और हरिद्वार में हर की पौड़ी के साथ सबसे महत्वपूर्ण स्थान है। देवी माँसदेवी संत कश्यप की बेटी हैं वह अपने मन से पैदा हुई थी और इसलिए नाम ' मनसा देवी' से प्रसिद्ध हो गया। मनसा का मतलब भी इच्छा है मानसेवी को इस इच्छा को पूर्ण करने वाली देवी के रूप में जाना जाता है। मंदिर के पास एक पवित्र पेड़ पर मंदिर टाई धागे का दौरा करने वाले भक्त अपनी इच्छाओं को पूरा करने के लिए देवी के आशीर्वाद मांग रहे हैं। एक बार उनकी इच्छाओं को पूरा करने के बाद वे एक ही मुक्त धागा खोलने के लिए वापस आ जाते हैं।
शिवालिक पहाड़ियों के शीर्ष पर स्थित, मनसा देवी मंदिर सबसे प्राचीन और प्रसिद्ध सिधपीठों में से एक है (पवित्र स्थान एक की इच्छा पूरी हुई)। मंदिर में देवी की एक मूर्ति में तीन चेहरे और पांच हथियार हैं जबकि दूसरे में आठ हथियार हैं।
मा मनसा देवी के आरामदायक 'दर्शन' के लिए, 1 9 81 के बाद से मा मनसा देवी उदान खाटोटा परिचालन और बस्तर और रेलवे स्टेशन से 2 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर हरिद्वार में ऊपरी सड़क पर स्थित है। ऊडन खटोला द्वारा यह पहाड़ी शीर्ष पर मंदिर तक पहुंचने के लिए लगभग 4 मिनट लगते हैं, जबकि कदम से ~ टिटिम ~ 45 मिनट लगते हैं।
यहां वैष्णो देवी मंदिर जम्मू और कश्मीर के मूल वैष्णो देवी मंदिर के नए निर्माण और वास्तविक प्रतिकृति हैं।
 
दक्ष महादेव मंदिर
 
हरिद्वार से चार किलोमीटर दूर कन्खल नामक एक शहर है। पौराणिक कथाओं का कहना है कि इस स्थान का राजा राजा दक्ष प्रजापति ने यज्ञ किया। उनकी बेटी, सती भगवान शिव से शादी की थी। लेकिन दक्ष इस शादी से खुश नहीं थे और उन्होंने यज्ञ में शिव-सती को आमंत्रित नहीं किया।
लेकिन सती आई और उसके पिता ने अपमान किया। वह यज्ञ कुंड में अपमान नहीं ले पाई और खुद को जला दिया। यह सुनकर शिव के अनुयायियों ने दक्ष को मार डाला। लेकिन बाद में महादेव (शिव) ने जीवन को दीक्षा दिया। दक्ष मंदिर इस पौराणिक कथा का एक विशेषता है। यह स्थान हरिद्वार में पांच पवित्र स्थानों में से एक है।
 
माया देवी   
 
यह भारत में शक्तिपीठों में से एक है। माया देवी का यह प्राचीन मंदिर भी हरिद्वार के अधिपतिथी देवता है। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि जब भगवान शिव अपनी पत्नी सती ले जा रहे थे, जिन्होंने अपने पति के सम्मान को बनाए रखने के लिए खुद को जला दिया था, तो सती के दिल और नाभि इस जगह पर गिर गए थे।   सप्त ऋषि   एक जगह पर गंगा खुद को सात छोटी नदियों में विभाजित करती है। यह स्थान सप्त ऋषि के रूप में जाना जाता है और एक बहुत ही मनभावन दृष्टि प्रदान करता है।  
गुरुकुल कांगरी विश्वविद्यालय   
 
यह विश्वविद्यालय शिक्षा की अपनी अनूठी प्रणाली के लिए जाना जाता है। यह हरिद्वार-ज्वालापुर बाईपास रोड पर स्थित है। यह पुरानी संस्था शिक्षा के गुरु-शिशा पद्धति की प्राचीन परंपरा का अनुसरण करती है। संस्थान में वेद मंदिर संग्रहालय भी है, जिसका पुरातात्विक प्रदर्शन का एक बहुत अच्छा संग्रह है और ऐतिहासिक मूल्य के हैं जो कलाकृतियों को प्रदर्शित करता है।   
 
नील धार पक्षी विहार
 
यह जगह सर्दियों के दौरान खास तौर पर एक आकर्षक पक्षी देख रहा है। यहां पक्षी की विभिन्न प्रजातियां हैं जिन्हें यहां देखा जा सकता है। गंगा नदी के तट पर लालजीवाला के आसपास एक साइबेरियाई क्रेन की अपेक्षा कर सकता है, जो इस पक्षियों विहार के लिए एक बहुप्रशंसित आगंतुक है।   सौंदर्य बिंदु   मानसा देवी मंदिर रोड पर, हरिद्वार से लगभग दो किलोमीटर दूर एक बिंदु है जो हरिद्वार और हरियाली के नजदीक से शानदार दृश्य प्रदान करता है। इस जगह को सुंदरता बिंदु कहा जाता है क्योंकि यहां से आस-पास की दृष्टि बहुत रोमांचक और मोहक है।
 
In Hindu mythology Lord Vishnu is known as Hari & Shiva as Har. Dwar means gate, and it is for this reason that this place is known as Hardwar or Haridwar, as the gateway to the Four Shrines /Dhams of Uttaranchal. Mentioned as Mayapuri, Gangadwar, Mokhsadawar in the ancient scriptures & epic. Haridwar always remained as a major Shaktipeeth for the devotees. Legend has placed Gods footprints on the bank of holy river giving the town its sanctity and has left an indelible mark on the spiritual ethos of every Hindu. Haridwar is the point where the Gangas emerges from the Himalayas to begin its progress across the plains. Legend has it that the holy Ganga, the holiest of all rivers, which flows through this sacred city has actually been sanctified by the powerRll Trintity of Hindu mythology &: the centre of the Pantheon- Brahma, Vishnu &C Mahesh. According to devotees Haridwar is one of the four places (other three being Ujjain, Nasik & Allahabad) upon which the Arnrit-Nector of immortality emerging out of the churning ocean fell. This is manifested in two great events that take place at Haridwar - the memorable & the huge religious Mela Kumbh which happens once every 12 years & the Ardh Kumb Mela, which comes once every six years.

The foot prints of Lord Vishnu are present on a slab of stone and it is said that Lord Vishnu blessed the gods with darshan at this place. This place continues to be the mystic venue for the purification of mind, body & soul.

The scenic beauty and the lush greenery, a unique Gurukul School of traditional education, the temples & the ghats, a number of Dharamshalas (pilgrims' shelters) all give the city a unique flavour and charm.

An ideal destination for wildlife & adventure lovers; RajaJi National Park is Just 10 km from Haridwar.

In the evening the ghats look breathtakingly beautiful, as thousands of diyas &C marigold flowers float & illuminate the holy waters of the Mother Ganga.

At the south west and on the railway road is the main bus stand & on the opposite is the railway station. About 2.5km to the north east is Har ki Pauri on this road running parallel to the Ganges canal.

Road : Haridwar on the national highway no. 45 is well connected to Delhi (214 km) and other parts of the state and towns in North India. Dehradun about 52 km is about a two hours drive &: Delhi is about 5 hours drive away. Rishikesh is only 22 km. There are ordinary &c express bus services at very regular intervals (30 mins) for Delhi, Rishikesh & Dehradun. Deluxe coaches operate to & from Delhi, Jaipur in Rajasthan & Chandigarh. There is bus service to Shimla, Nainital, Almora, Ranikhet, Saharanpur (81 km) Ambala (168 km).

Har-Ki-Pauri

 

Har-Ki-Pauri, the sacred ghat was constructed by King Vikramaditya in the memory of his brother Bhartrihari. The golden reflection of floral diyas in the river Ganges is the most enchanting sight in the twilight during the Ganga aarti ceremony at the ghat.

 

MAA Chandidevi Hardwar

 

Locatedd atop Neel Parvat, Chandidevi temple is one of the most ancient temples of north India. This is a sldhpeeth. The main deity is said to have been installed in the 8th century by Adishankaracharya. According to the legends, in ancient times, demon kings Shumb and Nishumb had captured the kingdom of Lord Indra and thrown out gods from heaven. After intense prayers by the gods, incarnation of power and strength, Chandidevi appeared from the body cells of Goddess Parvati and killed Shumb and Nishumb. There after Chandidevi is said to have rested for a while at the temple location. 200 mtrs away from the Maa Chandidevi temple, the Temple of Anjanidevi, mother of God Ha-numan is located.

Maa Chandidevi has been fulfilling wishes of its devotees for thousand of years. For the comfortable 'darshan' of Maa Chandidevi Sidhpeeth Maa Chandidevi Udan Khotala operational since 1997 at Najibabad Road in Hardwar and is at a distance of only 4 km from the bus stand and Railway Station. By Udan Khotala it takes apporximately 5 minutes to reach the temple at the Hill top whereas the steep climb takes more than an hour. For the comfort of pilgrims amenities like Pure cold drinking water, Toilets, Refreshment Counters, Landscaped gardens, First aid facilities, Resting areas, Car parking, CCTV etc. are available.

 

MAA Mansadevi Hardwar

 

MAA Mansadevi Hardwar Temple is one of the most important temples of the North India and is the most important destination along with Har Ki Pauri in Hardwar. Goddess Mansadevi is the daughter of Saint Kashyap. She was born from his mind and therefore become famous by the name 'Mansadevi'. 'Mansa' also means wishes. Mansadevi therefore is known as the wish fulfilling goddess. Devotees visiting the temple tie threads on a sacred tree near the temple seeking blessings of the goddess for fullfillment of their wishes. They return to untie a thread from the same free once their wishes are fulfilled.

Located on top of the Shivalik hills, Mansadevi temple is one of the most ancient and Famous Sidhpeeths (holy places were one's wishes gets fulfilled). In the temple one idol of the goddess has three faces and five arms while the other has eight arms.

For the comfortable 'darshan' of Maa Mansadevi, Maa Mansadevi Udan Khatota operational since 1981 and is situated on the upper road in Hardwar at a distance of 2 Kms from the Bustand and Railway Station. By Udan Khatola it takes apporximately 4 minutes to reach the temple at the Hill top while the stee~ttim~by steps takes about 45 minutes.

The Vaishno Devi temple here is newly constructed and a true replica of the original Vaishno Devi temple in Jammu & Kashmir.

 

Daksha Mahadev Temple

 

Four kms from Haridwar is a town called Kankhal. Mythology says that the king of this place King Daksha Prajapati performed a yagya. His daughter, Sati was married to Lord Shiva. But Daksha was not happy with this marriage and did not invite Shiva-Sati in the Yagya.

But Sati came and was insulted by her father. She could not take the insult and burnt herself in the yagya kund. On hearing this the followers of Shiva killed Daksha. But later Mahadeo (Shiva) brought Daksha to life. The Daksha temple is an attribute to this legend. This place is one of the five sacred places in Haridwar.

 

Maya Devi

 

It is one of the Shaktipeeths in India. This ancient temple of Maya Devi is also the Adhisthatri deity of Haridwar. It is said that when Lord Shiva was carrying his wife Sati, who had burnt her self to keep the honour of her husband, then the heart and navel of Sati had fallen at this place.

 

Sapt Rishi

 

At one place Ganga divides herself into seven small streams. This place is known as the Sapt Rishi and provides a very pleasing sight.

 

Gurukul Kangri University

 

This university is known for its unique system of education. it is located on the Haridwar-Jwalapur bypass road. This old institution follows the ancient tradition of Guru-Sishya pattern of education. The institution also has the Ved Mandir Museum which is has a very good collection of archaeological exhibits and displays artifacts which are of historical value.

 

Neel Dhara Pakshi Vihar

 

This place is an enchanting bird watching point particularly during the winters. There are various species of birds which can be spotted here. Around Laljiwala on the banks of river Ganges one can expect the Siberian Cranes, which are one of the prized visitor to this Pakshi Vihar.

 

Beauty Point

 

On the Mansa Devi temple road, about two kilometer from Haridwar is a point which provides an excellent view of Haridwar and the near by greenery. This place is called the beauty point as the sight from here of the surrounding is very exciting and enthralling.
